Introducing Sammet Industrial Dampers
Sammet isolating and regulating dampers are designed for heavy industrial
use. Unlike basic flap dampers used in air conditioning, industrial
dampers must handle ultimate heat and pressure, moisture, toxic gases
and dust loads.
The two main functions of industrial dampers are isolating and regulating
gas flow. Sammet manufactures many different types of dampers for
both the functions.
Damper construction in brief
The construction of a typical industrial damper is based on one or
more turning blades that are connected to damper frame with an axl.
The blades of isolating damper move in similar direction whereas those
in regulating damper in opposite directions.
One thing common for all kinds of dampers is the actuator controlling
the blades via linkage system right outside the damper frame. The
drive options available include electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and
manual.
